Najjar Agricultural & Trading Co. (“Najjar”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects the privacy of everyone who visits najjaragriculture.com (the “Site”). This notice explains what personal data we collect through the Site, how and why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have in relation to it.
This notice applies only to personal data collected through the Site. By submitting an enquiry form on the Site, you confirm that you have read this notice.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Najjar Agricultural & Trading Co., a company established in Lebanon, with its head office at Al Wakf Building, 2nd Floor, Verdun, Beirut, Lebanon.
Any question, request or complaint about this notice or about how we handle your personal data may be sent to info@najjaragriculture.com.
2. Personal data we collect
We collect only the personal data that you choose to give us, together with limited technical data if you accept analytics cookies.
Data you provide. When you submit a product quotation, partnership, institutional or field-visit enquiry, we collect the information you enter in the form. Depending on the form, this may include:
- your full name and your role;
- the name of your company, farm or organisation, and your country or region;
- your phone number and, where you provide it, your email address;
- the details of your enquiry, such as the product, pack size and quantity, crop, tender reference or deadline;
- the content of your message and any photograph you attach.
Data collected automatically. If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, we collect information about how the Site is used, such as the pages visited, the time spent on them, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location derived from the IP address. See section 6.
We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, sensitive personal data such as information about health, religious belief or political opinion.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
We use the personal data you provide in order to:
- respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about it;
- prepare quotations and supply products;
- assess partnership proposals and respond to tenders and institutional requests;
- arrange field visits and provide agronomic support;
- keep a record of our exchanges with you.
We use analytics data to understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, in accordance with Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data. You give that consent by ticking the checkbox on the enquiry form and, for analytics, by accepting cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time, as set out in section 8.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making, and we do not use it to send marketing communications unless you have separately agreed to receive them.
4. Who receives your data
Your enquiry is recorded in our customer management system and is handled by the Najjar staff responsible for the relevant type of enquiry. Partnership and institutional enquiries are directed to the Chairman’s office.
We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions, such as the providers of our customer management, email, website hosting and analytics services. They are permitted to use the data only to provide those services to us.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We may disclose it where we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.
5. Transfers outside Lebanon
Our customer management system and some of our other service providers are hosted outside Lebanon. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to, and stored in, other countries. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your data remains protected in line with this notice.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure how the Site is used. These tools are loaded only after you select “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you select “Decline”, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies stored by your browser for the Site, after which the banner will be shown again.

7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry records for 24 months from the date of our last exchange with you, after which they are deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is required by law or is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Analytics data is kept for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions set out in applicable law, you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal data about you and obtain a copy of it;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to the processing of your data;
- withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@najjaragriculture.com. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. Access to enquiry records is limited to staff who need it for their work. No transmission of information over the internet can be guaranteed to be fully secure, and you send information to us at your own risk.
10. Children
The Site is intended for professionals and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.
11. Links to other websites
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including our pages on social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy notices.
12. Changes to this notice
We may amend this notice from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. Material changes will be indicated on the Site.
